Finally we have been authorized to in back to Kisumu. We've checked out of the hotel and now parked at our friends Allen and Martas house awaiting the evening flight.
Kibaki has named the third party spoiler candidate as his VP which touched off another round of rioting in kisumu. Luckily it was short lived. We were worried the incident would stop embassy from sending us back.
I must admit that I am a little apprehensive about returning. Wondering what I will find, wondering just how safe it really will be for the coming months as the politics get sorted out. But it will also be good to be finally home and all together again too.
