We're home. The flying was painless. The kids did great. Such a different experience from when we came to Kenya. Jet lag hasn't been that bad either. There was some culture shock as we went to a Macdonald's in the Amsterdam airport, had breakfast, and paid 30USD for 3 egg macmuffins and two coffees!
In many ways it feels like we never left. And ironically we are staying with our neighbors across from our own house, which looks small and shabby to me now. The first thing that was really noticeable, though, was when riding down the freeway just how smooth as silk the roads are here! And my first trip to a Kroger grocery store, no joke, I almost had to leave! The sheer amount of choices was so overwhelming to me.
We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to visit doctors and shop and visit friends and family...but it's all good, we're having a great time so far.
